SS CIRENE

Il piroscafo “Turret” SS Cirene, primo fu chiamato “Royalist”, aveva 3236 tonnellate e fu costruito da Angier Line (1887) Ltd a Londra nel 1894. Il 30 settembre 1915, viaggiava a Rodi e aveva affondata dal sottomarino tedesco UB-39, comandato da Walter Forstmann. Il relitto resta sud di Creta, 85 miglia sud dell’isola di Koufonisia. C’erano due vittime.
