SS Scilla fu costruita da MacNab & Co. a Greenock nel 1866 ed era di proprietà della Società Italiana De Servizi Marittimi (Venezia). Il piroscafo italiano aveva 1220 tonnellate. Il 18 ottobre 1915, Scilla fu affondata dal sottomarino tedesco U-35 (comandato da Waldemar Kophamel) al largo delle sporadi nord, nel mar Egeo.
