SS Marie Suzanne

SS Marie Suzanne, built by W. Gray & Co. Ltd., West Hartlepool in 1898 and owned at the time of her loss by Leander SS. Co. Ltd. (Petersen & Co. Ltd.), London, was a British steamer of 3106 tons. On August 19th, 1918, Marie Suzanne, on a voyage from Penarth (UK) & Mudros to Salonica (Greece) with a cargo of coal, was sunk by the German submarine UC-37 (Otto Kümpel), 47 miles W3/4S from Mudros Bay. There were no casualties.
