SS New Zealand Transport

On June 14th, 1917, New Zealand Transport, on a voyage from Port Talbot (UK) to Mudros (Greece) with a cargo of coal, was sunk by the German submarine UC-23 (Johannes Kirchner), 8 miles southeast from Serifopoula Island (Greece) in the Aegean Sea. 3 persons were lost.
