Floréal

On August 2nd, 1918, the French submarine FLORÉAL, built in 1908 by Arsenal de Cherbourg was accidentally rammed by auxiliary cruiser HMS HAZEL, off the Dardanelles. FLORÉAL was taken in tow to Salonica (Greece) by the destroyer BALISTE, but foundered some hours later. There were no casualties.
