Linkmoor SS

SS Linkmoor, built by J. Readhead & Sons, Ltd., South Shields in 1914 and owned at the time of her loss by Moor Line, Ltd. (W. Runciman & Co.), London, was a British steamer of 4306 tons. On September 20th, 1915, Linkmoor, on a voyage from Lemnos (Greece) to Malta with a cargo of coal, was sunk by the German submarine U-35 (Waldemar Kophamel), 50 miles west from Cape Matapan (Greece). There were no casualties.
