SS Provincia

SS Provincia, built by Chantiers & Ateliers de Provence, Port de Bouc in 1902 and owned at the time of her loss by Cie. Française de Nav. à Vapeur (Cyp. Fabre & Cie.), Marseille, was a French passenger steamer of 3523 tons. On October 1st, 1915, Provincia, on a voyage from Mudros (Greece) to Toulon (France) in ballast, was sunk by the German submarine U-33 (Konrad Gansser), 50 miles south of Cape Matapan (Greece).
