Remembrance

Remembrance, built by R. Thompson & Sons, Ltd., Sunderland in 1910 and owned at the time of her loss by the Royal Navy, was a British Q-ship of 3660 tons. On August 14th, 1916, Remembrance (false name Lammeroo) on passage from Malta to Mudros, carrying 1,250 bags of mail, stores and two torpedoes was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-38 (Max Valentiner), off Lithari Point Lighthouse, north of Paros Island, Aegean Sea, Greece. 2 lost their lives.
