SS Nefeli

On November 3rd, 1917, the Greek sailing vessel Essichia (30 grt.) was sunk by the German submarine UC-37 (Willy List), east of Crete, Greece. SS Nefeli, built by W. Doxford & Sons, Ltd., Sunderland in 1912 and owned at the time of her loss by Embiricos Bros., Andros, was a Greek steamer of 3868 tons. On November 3rd, 1917, Nefeli, on a voyage from Karachi (Pakistan) to Syracuse (Italy), was sunk by the German submarine UC-38 (Hans Hermann Wendlandt), west of Crete, Greece.
