SS Trocas

Trocas, built by James Laing, Sunderland in 1893 and owned at the time of her loss by Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Co. Ltd., London, was a British tanker of 4129 tons. On January 19th, 1918, Trocas, on a voyage from Abadan (Iran) to Salonica (Greece) with a cargo of oil, was sunk by the German submarine UC-23 (Hans Georg Lübbe), 10 miles northeast of Skyro (Greece) lighthouse in the Agean Sea. 24 persons were lost.
