SS Woolwich

SS Woolwich, built by Raylton Dixon & Co., Middlesbrough in 1887 and owned at the time of her loss by Britain SS. Co. Ltd. (Watts, Watts & Co.), London, was a British steamer of 2.936 tons. On November 3rd, 1915, Woolwich, on a voyage from Port Sudan (Sudan) to Plymouth (UK) with a cargo of phosphates and zinc, was sunk by the German submarine U-35 (Waldemar Kophamel), 104 miles South from Cape Sidero, Greece. There were no casualties.
