Welsh Prince SS

SS Welsh Prince, built by R. Craggs & Sons, Ltd., Middlesbrough in 1903 and owned at the time of her loss by Prince Line, Ltd. (James Knott), Newcastle, was a British steamer of 4.934 tons. On October 13th, 1916, Welsh Prince, on a voyage from Calcutta (India) to Dundee (Scotland) with general cargo, was sunk by the German submarine UB-43 (Hans von Mellenthin), 33 miles southwest of Cape Matapan, Greece. 2 persons were lost.
