SS Amiral Magon

The French liner Amiral Magon SS was carrying 900 French troops from Marseille (France) to Salonika (Greece) when, on January 28th, 1917, she was torpedoed by German submarine U-39 and sunk, 160 miles West of Antikythera Island (Greece). The liner remained afloat for only ten minutes and most of the persons on board were lost.
