SS Llangorse

SS Llangorse, built by Richardson, Duck & Co., Stockton in 1900 and owned at the time of her loss by E. Thomas, Radcliffe & Co., Cardiff, was a British steamer of 3841 tons. On September 8th, 1916, Llangorse, on a voyage from Montreal  (Canada) to Salonica (Greece) with a cargo of oats, was sunk by the German submarine UB-47 (Wolfgang Steinbauer), 48 miles WSW from Cape Matapan (Greece). There were no casualties.
