SS Pera

SS Pera, built by Workman, Clark & Co. Ltd., Belfast in 1903 and owned at the time of her loss by Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company, Belfast, was a British steamer of 7635 tons. On October 19th, 1917, Pera, on a voyage from Liverpool (UK) to Calcutta (India) with general cargo & coal, was sunk by the German submarine UB-48 (Wolfgang Steinbauer), 105 miles E3/4N of Marsa Susa. 1 person was lost.
