SS Grace

SS Grace, built by Harlan & Hollingsworth Co., Wilmington, Delaware in 1912 and owned at the time of her loss by Standard Commercial SS. Corp., New York, was an American steamer of 1861 tons. On July 12th, 1917, Grace, on a voyage from New York (U.S.A.) to Salonica (Greece) with a cargo of petroleum, was sunk by the German submarine UC-38 (Alfred Klatt), 5.5 miles north of Cape Phessos, Andros Island, Greece. 3 persons were lost.
