SS Wacousta

SS Wacousta, built by A. McMillan & Son, Ltd., Dumbarton in 1908 and owned at the time of her loss by A/S D/S Wacousta (Christensen & Stenseth), Sandefjord, was a Norwegian steamer of 3.521 tons. On November 8th, 1915, Wacousta, on a voyage from Pictou, Nova Scotia (Canada) to Vladivostok (Russia) with a cargo of railway material, was sunk by the German submarine U-35 (Waldemar Kophamel), southeast of Gavdo Island, Greece. There were no casualties.
